Total Coliform Rule

This course will provide a brief history of the Total Coliform Rule (TCR) and the regulatory requirements established by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The course will discuss maximum contaminant levels (MCLs) and maximum contaminant goals (MCLGs). The course will explain bacteriological sampling plans, procedures, collection and the rules that apply regarding sample results and what is required to remain in compliance. After completing this course you should have a basic understanding of the Total Coliform Rule and individual roles and responsibilities of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and each state.
